The Great Oil Divide: The Security Situation Between the Sudans

Since the 2011 secession, the governments of Sudan and South Sudan have yet to agree on a solution to determine a permanent border, and it has continued to be a major contention between the two nations. Both states are focused on combating their own domestic insurgencies, with the conflict in South Sudan progressively threatening the security status of Sudan.
